BREAST SURGERY
The female breast do not arouse the same sexual interest here as in the western world. It is considered purely as a nutritional attribute reserved for the infant only.
There is no demand for breast lifting, augmentation, reduction or other esthetic procedures which are so common in the western world.
Surgery of the breast in our hospital concerns only removal of malignant or benign tumors, and drainage of abscesses. We also did a few cases of subcutaneous mastectomy on males with large breasts due to hormonal disturbances and Klinefelt’s syndrome.
