CHRONIC ETHMOID SINUSITIS

Again the same procedure as with maxillary and frontal sinusitis is used in cases of chronic sinusitis of the ethmoid sinus. In this case an empyema has already perforated and a draining sinus is presenting:

The wall of the sinus is resected and the mucosal lining removed completely

An opening is made into the nasal cavity
